The 7-seater Mobilio is the first MPV from the Honda Cars India Limited. The brand Honda has already climbed to the third position among the most sought after brands in India with its City and Amaze finding places in the list of top 20 bestselling cars.
The MPV Mobilio launched in July 2014 has average sales figures of 1500 to 2000 units per month. The 7-seater Mobilio is priced Rupees 6.49 to 11.55 lakh and has 4 petrol and 6 diesel variants. The V (O) options in petrol and diesel has been launched in August 2014 and the RS variants in September.
The Mobilio is available in colours of Majestic Blue, Crystal Black Pearl, Urban Titanium, Carnelian Red, Alabaster Silver, Brilliant Gold and Taffeta White. The Mobilio is similar to the Honda Brio when viewed from the front. From B pillar towards the rear the side profile is very attractive. The RS variant has projector head lamps and alloy wheels of unique design. A tailgate spoiler, chrome grille, electric ORVMs in body colour, window sill garnish and the chrome handles make the exterior stylish. A roof antenna, a rear wiper and front fog lamps are also featured in top variants.
The cabin features of the Mobilio base variants include a manual AC, fabric seats, central and child lock facilities, an engine immobiliser, power windows and internally adjustable ORVMs. The top variants have electric body coloured ORVMs, rear parking sensors with camera, a 2 DIN music system with AM/FM radio, MP3 and CD player, a touch screen and GPS system and Bluetooth for telephony.
The petrol variants of Honda Mobilio are powered by 1497cc, 118 bhp and 145 NM torque engines and the diesel ones 1498 cc, 99 bhp and 200 NM torque engines. Segment top fuel efficiency is available for the Mobilio with 17.3 kmpl for the petrol and 24.2 kmpl for the diesel variants.
The 4386 mm long Mobilio has a wheel base of 2652 and a ground clearance of 189 mm. The cabin of the Mobilio has3 rows of seats the second one 50:50 split and the third one 60:40 split. The boot space of 223 litres can be increased to 540 litres by folding the rear seat.
